Hero Nation 2009
Hero Nation 2009, which is essentially the repackaging of Hero TV's Hataw Hanep Hero event was very well attended. A bit too attended, unfortunately, since by 3 pm they weren't letting people in anymore because they were out of tickets, and they've reached the venue's 2,000+ capacity limit.
Of course, that didn't stop many of the hopeful attendees, cosplayers and costrippers to hang around outside the event area. Which was a good thing, since I was able to take some photos, at least 
.
Hopefully the organizers will choose a much bigger venue next year.

Cosplay Mania 2009
Just got back from Cosplay Mania 2009 at the Megamall, and from what I can tell, it was a huge success. Considering that the organizers opted to get two of the trade halls and a function rooms, the event venue was packed, and there were a lot more people outside the hall.

Cosplay Fusion at the Rockwell Mall
I had the chance to attend last week's Cosplay Fusion at the Power Plant Mall in Makati. The event was organized by the Cosplay Circle and was hosted by Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao, and Marcelle Fable.
As to be expected, there were lots of familiar faces and new ones among the cosplayers. And considering that the venue was a fairly unusual choice for a cosplay event, it was very successful. Successful enough that the group has anounced Cosplay Fusion 2 this coming November.

e-Games’ Domination 3 draws out the geeks and gamers
I love it when a large group of geeks get together under one roof. Despite being crowded and noisy, they tend to follow the rules and stay organized (in almost all the gaming and cosplay events I've been to, at least).
Alodia Gosiengfiao, at eGames' Domination 3
e-Games' Domination 3 event held at the SMX Convention center is one of the biggest gaming events I've attended thus far. According to a friend of mine who's one the eGames' staff, they were expecting to receive about 20,000 attendees. Judging the crowd inside the actual venue and the long line of people waiting to get in even by 6 pm, they most likely hit that mark and more.
